First post on my new website

First off, welcome to my brand new website. My name is Bob Olsen, also known as Bob Linux Olsen. I've been thinking about making a new website for a long time now, and I decided that now is the time.

What will the website be about?

Well, I'm glad you asked. It's going to be all about me. I'm going to use the site as kinda a blog, and I'm also going to write articles here and there. I will also publish posts whenever I upload new videos on YouTube.

As of right now, I have two active channels, my main channel simply called Bob Linux Olsen with the username MrSolenoid. This is where I post random vlog videos and talk about just about everything.

My second channel is called OldBobGamer, where I upload gameplay videos and also stream gameplay. I haven't been very active on the gaming channel lately, but I haven't given up on it, even though it might seem that way 😆

What else do you do?

I have a lot of different hobbies, they include software development, graphical design, photography, motorcycles, computer and tech in general. My plan is to add a photo gallery page to the site, to show off some of my photographs. I also plan on adding a page to show off the software I make. And no, I don't do vibe coding. I'm an old school coder and prefer to do everything manually. I feel that's a much better way of displaying ones creativity than it is to just enter a few words into a prompt and waste valuable resources to make slop content.

Is it true you are in a wheelchair? And what happened to you?

Yes, it's true I am in a wheelchair. I've been a wheelchair user for about 5 years or so, maybe a little longer. It's a very very long story. And I will definitely write more about that in coming posts. If you are very curious, you can head over to my main YouTube channel. I do talk a little bit about that there. But as I said, I will be writing more about that here.
